M&M Colors

In a kindergarten room where I worked during this past week, the kids made a bar graph using colored M&M’s.
The children each received a fun-size pack of M&M’s which they dumped out onto a paper towel and sorted by color.
Each time they filled in a square with the corresponding color to a piece of candy, they got to eat that piece.
How cool is that?
I don’t remember learning to count ever being that much fun when I was at school! :)

I think I would be much better at math if we had used the M&M system!lol.

Hi Kerry. Thanks for the kind words left on my blog. I'm glad you enjoyed reading through it, and I love to meet new people this way.

Do you miss the heat of the Aussie summer? I lived in Canada for two years and I really miss the snowy winters - especially as I live in the tropics and winter (ha!) lasts about two weeks here.

I must say, you have taken some special photographs. I adore the pictures of your farm - you really do live in a stunning part of the world.

My husband also used M&Ms in teaching university students for his probability and statistics classes. They also got to eat the candy.
