Birthday Wishes

Happy Birthday to my dear husband!

He's the littlest one on the right.

He's sitting beside his brother here. Aren't they a cute pair?

I think this photo could be classified as vintage :)

He's a little older now.....

Sweeter as the years go by....... :)

And a pretty nice grandpa...... Posted by Picasa

Who loves spending time with "his boys".

He's been doing some field work these past couple of weeks....planting oats and corn.

Here he is disking the ground (breaking up the clods of dirt) after it has been plowed. It's then dragged (smoothes the surface of the soil a little) and planted.

He's very happy to have it finished now so that he can plant his vegetable garden, and do the myriad other jobs that need doing around the farm in springtime. There's always SO much to do all at once at this time of year!

On Mother's Day he went outside early and came back an hour later with this sweet little trellis that he'd made for me from a couple of saplings.

The Carnaby clematis had divided itself and I needed to give the new plant a trellis of its own to grow on. Now, thanks to my hubby's ingenuity, it has one. I love it! I was tickled pink to have such a thoughtful present.

I'd also like to wish our daughter-in-law a very happy birthday for tomorrow.
We hope you have a wonderful day dear DIL! xoxox

How gorgeous, and I don't mean the trellis. Well that too, but the photo of your hubby and his brother is priceless, and yes, vintage too.

Happy Birthday Ross!

Dear Ross - I'm so sorry I'm really dragging the chain this week and have missed your birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day; I'm sure that dear, dear wife of yours cooked your favourite meal and waited on you hand and foot .... lol. What? She didn't? I'll have a stern word with her.

I hope the next 12 months will be full of satisfaction, achievement and good health.

Much love -

'Alice'

Happy Birthday Dad and Grandpa! Did anyone notice the similarities between Dad as a little boy and his youngest grandson???

And your DIL says HB to the FIL too!

Love,
Andrew

I was just going to say the same thing. I can't believe the similarities between the pictures. Our husbands are alike. Mine also makes trellises. He uses willow is finds close by. I have a few around the property. What a nice tribute.

Happy Birthday to all those celebrants in your family this week!
That picture of your husband and his brother looks an awful lot like "his boys" don't you think?
Have a wonderful week.
Love,
Terri
P.S. Did I mention we are moving back upstate? Probably in town, though after seeing your husband on that tractor it make me want a farm again! LOL

Happy Birthday to both of them. What wonderful pictues Kerri. They make me long for the countryside. What was once country all around us is gradually becoming so commercialized. I feel peaceful just looking at the plowed fields. There is just something special to me about country life.
Your flowers are just beautiful and the little trellis just perfect.
Have a happy day with your birthday boy!!

Happy Birthday to Ross - the Mothers' Day trellis is truly beautiful and has a graceful look.

Well, Kerri, it appears that homemade gifts are the theme this year - I sure hope y'all are making him something besides this cute Blog card!

Happy Birthday to Ross and to your DIL. Ross hasn't changed much...I think I could have picked him out of the picture without you telling us who it was.

Ross is so clever...making that trelis was such a sweet thing to do for you too.

You know he doesn't look that much different from the first photo of him as a little fella.
What's his nationality? He looks a little Danish/Swedish to me with his light hair and skin.

A very happy birthday to Ross! What a clever man to make you such a beautiful trellis. My H's birthday is this Saturday and it's a big one so I'll have to do something special for him.
