Happy Valentine's Day!

Our son gave this beautiful bouquet to his wife for Valentine's Day several years ago. Posted by Picasa
The weatherman is predicting a major snowstorm across our area tomorrow, with the snow beginning after midnight tonight. They're saying we can expect from 18 to 36 inches (45 to 91cm). That sounds like plenty! I'll be surprised if our school doesn't close for another snowday.
Those poor people to the north of Syracuse are in for more lake effect snow on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The village of Redfield has already recorded almost 12 feet of accumulated snow! That's hard to imagine, isn't it? We have a nice white landscape, but haven't had anywhere near the snow they've had.

I hope you all have a very happy Valentine's Day, and remember....
Carpe cocoa - seize the chocolate!

Happy Valentine's Day to you dear Kerri! I do hope you don't get too much more snow...if you do, please stay safe! We haven't been getting any of that snow yet this winter, I've never seen anything like it! It's frigid as usual but sunny every day! lol Hugs xoxo

Here's a happy Valentine's Day blessing for you, dear Kerri, and hope you don't get snowed. They may close school but you still have to get out and feed the kitties.

Hope you get lots of kisses and hugs today!

Such beautiful flowers on such a nice day to celebrate love and friendship! I wonder how long these flowers had to travel to bring you a smile, I believe they do not grow in the Winter time there, do they? Happy Valentine's Day!

Wow - that is a lot of snow! Sending you safe and warm wishes for Valentine's day across the ocean dear Kerri.
lol- Carpe Cocoa- l will do so :)
Looks like all of us women will be feeling great for Valentines- lots of chocolate and flowers. I have this theory that chocolate slows down the aging process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?
Hugs
Beautiful photos below of your grandsons- happy happy 3rd birthday to the Party Pirate- oo arrrr!

Considering it was several years ago, that bouquet is holding up well!

Happy white Valentines Day to you, Kerri. Not sure that Ross will be able to find many flowers under all that snow for you today - but maybe you'll get some from a secret (or not-so-secret admirer ...lol).

Definintely not snowing here - and I'm sure I wouldn't want it to, not to those depths anyway. Please take care if you are travelling, otherwise, stay home an snuggle up.

Kerri I am sorry to learn about your weather, hope it was not too bad today!

Sounds as if you really had a great time with your big 3-year-old grandson!

Happy Valentine's day, may it be filles with lots of romance and love - despite the bad weather!

The recipe I am going to share with you today is about 350 years old! A great favourite from the Cape where the first brandy from Cape grapes were distilled in 1672! We have come a very long way since then when it comes to the quality of our brandy, but still, Cape Brandy Pudding remains an old time favourite :) Growing up in South Africa is great fun with all the recipes your mother makes and teaches you during your younger years!

Is the snow deep enough to go sledding? The children tried here but we didn't get enough of it last night. Cocoa sounds mighty good about now.

The flowers are beautiful and I bet lots of women in NY are getting their Valentine flowers today because of all the snow. Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

My husband sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers to work and just 2 days later, they are already wilting because of the heat.

At least the storm came after the birthday party - but the depths being recorded are unbelievable.

Carpe cocoa - that should be printed on a pair of oven mitts, ready to take brownies out of the oven!
