Birthday Boy!

Happy 3rd Birthday
to a special boy!

Opening presents

I'm pleased to report that we made it to the birthday party for our youngest grandson last Saturday.

We had planned to leave Friday and spend 2 nights, but the weather was nasty on Friday, with high winds and snow. Most schools were closed in our area, so we waited and made the trip on Saturday morning. By then the roads were clear and we had a pleasant drive.

The boys are always so happy to have a houseful of company, especially if it includes their cousins.
The birthday boy chose Curious George as his party theme and had a delicious ice cream cake with that curious little monkey on it.

One of his favorite presents was this pirate hat, eyepatch and hook from his Aunt Kylie. There was also a neat (foam) sword that made "sword noises"....impossible to describe....sort of swishy sounds :) Posted by Picasa

On Saturday night after all the guests had departed, we watched the movie "Cars". What a fun movie that is! Our favorite character was Mater...that's T'mater without the "T".

Since today is his real birthday we called him tonight to wish him a happy birthday and he told us he went out for dinner at Mc D's.

Every little boy's desire :)

Glad you made it to Kyle's 3rd birthday and had a lovely family time together. He's certainly growing up fast, isn't he? He'll now be able to talk to you on the phone and tell you all about what he's doing.

Does he go to any type of pre-school yet?

Hi Alice! Yes, they grow up too fast! We do have some fun conversations on the phone now :)
He does go to pre-school and is learning all sorts of things.

What delightful grandsons you have! Wish we were closer to the grandkids, but the southern heat is just not for us.

What adorable pictures! K makes quite the fierce pirate :)
I love that little finger in the air pose by his big brother!!
McD's sound just like what a 3 yr old should have.
Glad you made it there safe and sound! I was thinking of you while we were out in the sunshine :)

Kerri, how lovely we now both have a little three year old in the family and both birthdays look to be about the same time......even better.

I would like to also wish birthday boy a very happy third birthday. It is such a wonderful age and one of true discovery for them don't you think.

Keep warm........and I am sure your dreams are filled to the brim of daffodils and other bulbs blooming in your garden.

Your grandsons are so cute and Happy Birthday to the Birthday Boy!
Curious George was my sons favorite book to read when he was young. I always liked that little monkey too.
We are both so lucky to have our grandchildren close enough to visit. I'm so glad that you didn't get snowed in and were able to attend K's birthday party.
