Golden Sunshine!

Our front view

I couldn't help myself....I just had to grab the camera and take some pictures! I meant to post only a few, but I couldn't decide, so I got a bit carried away, as I usually do :)
It was a perfect picture-taking day! We had the most glorious sunshine....all day....not just a little taste, and then gloomy clouds and rain, as we've had most days this week.
There are more colors each day as the leaves turn.

Perfect blue sky, with just a few streaky clouds.

Red buildings for the fans of red barns and sheds out there. You know who you are (Ms. Jelly) I'm a fan too of the red buildings :)

Love that sky!

There are 3 pink glads here with just a few other things still blooming.

Wave petunias are great for late bloom. They even survive a frost or two if we're lucky.
That's Pete in the garden.

Our little burning bush is a slow grower.

I walked up behind the barn to see how much color there was. This ridge should be a sea of orange before the leaves fall.

Looking back.....the hay has been unloaded.

The sumac turns a brilliant color!

Then I was off to feed the kitties!

This is Sheba, having a bath after dinner. She loves that warm sunshine!

I'll be away for the next 4 days, working at a craft show in Letchworth State Park, below Rochester. It's a gorgeous place, especially at this time of year.
I just might take some pictures ;)
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I'll 'see' you when I return!
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you! I celebrated post #100 on September 28th!

Thankan the lovely photos of a wonderful october day, that´s what we call a golden october (Goldener Oktober). Here in nothern Germany it´s raining and I can´t do any garden work.
Sweet little kittens, my tomcat Dooley has lost his friend last year...pity, there is an ocean between us I´d love the three coloured kitten!

uuuih...the first part of the sentence has gone. It means:
Thank you for your sightseeing tour and the lovely photos of a wonderful day in october.
Sorry!

The light illuminates those photos so beautifully that they really come alive. Sure you didn't cheat and touch them up ... just kidding?
It's like looking through a window at the actual scene; just like being there. Perhaps I am .... I wish.

Have a safe trip and sell lots of goodies at the Craft Fair.

Congratulations on being a Centenarian Blogger.

the Kittys are so lovely, and they have so much place to play.

The sky was beautiful yesterday and it looks like another beautiful day today. It was a bit crisp this morning though, lots of folks up this way covered their gardens last night just in case.
Letchworth should be very pretty and I bet the drive there will be beautiful.

Happy 100th post!

We are getting the same thing with the trees, the leaves are falling before there is an impressive show of colour. Our spring was not as wet as yours, but we sure have been making up for it through September and into October, though it looks like we will have nice weather this weekend for (Canadian) Thanksgiving.

Well, Kerri, you said that you love the sun, and this batch of pictures is gorgeous, but I still find myself drawn to the photo from the previous post, labeled, "The wild asters are blooming profusely in the meadows.....". There's something about the misty, soft colored background and intense purple asters in the foreground that makes it feel more like a painting than a photo.

And congratulations on #100.

Kerri, happy 100th post and have fun at the craft fair.

I love your sky pics and especially the one with your house in the foreground. All of your pictures are lovely and it looks like you will be having a beautiful fall with lovely fall colors.

The kittens are cute and it looks like you have about as many as we have here enjoying our marvelous sunshine.

Kerri,
It is so beautiful! and while I am not an expert at taking such beautiful photos as yours are I can sit here and look at every detail of them and think how lovely life is to be able to be in your garden, or stand by the window of your barn with the kittens or even walk up the back of your property and enjoy the view.

thank you for letting me linger awhile at your place. :o)
