Birthday Fun!

It's hard to believe our oldest grandson is 6 years old today!
His party was on Saturday so we went out for the weekend.

He chose a 'cookie cake' with a Transformer theme this year. It was a huge chocolate chip cookie, which was very good. A nice change from a traditional cake.

Those 2 little boys sure were excited about opening the presents.

Their dad's favorite toys as a child were Legos.......... Posted by Picasa

......so you can guess who had the most fun with this set :)

These roller blades will be an adventure in learning coordination!! The first effort wasn't very graceful....but we laughed a lot :) Luckily he's well padded! Posted by Picasa
Happy birthday dear Grandson!

They grow up so fast! Both our grandsons are huge lego fans. N has pretty much outgrown it, but he will help D create..

Happy Birthday to your grandson, looks like Dad is enjoying the presents to. I would look just like your grandson on roller blades. A happy birthday wish to him from Port Clinton Ohio........

He is so cute!! They both are, your two grandsons.

I can really see the family resemblance in your son, too.

Glad you had a good time together!

Belated happy Birthday to C! I'm glad you were able to spend the weekend. I bet by the next time you visit he'll be zipping around on those roller blades. (I was quite relieved that Liz's party was at the bowling alley instead of the roller rink. I'm not nearly as cute as C when I tumble over.)

What little boy isn't a lego fan.... I know mine sure are....in fact my grandson Christopher just turned 10 with a chocolate chip cookie cake and a birthday party at the bowling alley.....kids these days are so lucky, we never went anywhere, nor did my kids...parties were always at home...but what fun....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your grandson..

Isn't it wonderful to see them grow, but don't you hate to see them "grow up"? Such sweet photos. And I loved your tribute to fall in your previous post. I'm still laughing over your cats' antics!

What little cuties your grandsons are! I was just catching up on my blog reading and enjoying your lovely photographs. I thought about you yesterday when I was outside in my shorts, wondering how cold your weather is getting there. A lot of snow birds are heading to Florida these days!

What fun to see your grandsons growing up and learning new things together. It must be wonderful to be able to be at their celebrations, Kerri!

And I'm pretty sure my oldest still has many of his Legos - they were one of the most beloved toys for all four of our offspring, too.

What lovely children. I still think your life seems absolutely idyllic. Grandchildren, cats in abundance, flowers, such lovely views... . I have to try hard not to covet my co-blogger's advantages!

Well, I do have flowers. And two cats. And other good stuff, but not those views or those millions of kittens or those lovely boys.

I thought the law was that all guests had to have a go with the birthday presents? So, where are the photos of Grandma and Grandpa on the roller blades, hmmmm?

Those boys are growing so fast. Glad you had a good time with them.

I'm back. I was here the other day when company suddenly dropped in so I had to leave without posting a comment. I feel like I've been MIA for awhile.

Happy Belated Birthday to your dear grandson...they're both such handsome boys.

Your frost looks almost like a light dusting of snow off in the distance and those pumpkins look so pretty in that wheel barrel of your previous post.

Pete is just not sitting on any post I see. It looks like he is waiting for the occupants of that bird house, hehehe.

It also looks like you had a very pretty fall and I think those geese flew straight over our house as they were flying south for the winter. I remember pointing up to their V-formation and calling to Jimmy to take a look up in the sky.

My cats are also chasing leaves around the yard and Jybow loves to hide under any she can find. Your flowers are still very pretty in your pictures, but I'm sure the frost has probably bit some of them by now.

You are very lucky to see a Monarch butterfly...that is something that has become a rare sighting around here. I probably only saw maybe 2 of them all year.

Oh my, that Jasmine has quite a taste for squash stems, hehehe. What a great picture catching her in the act.

Hello Dear Kerri....

A belated Happy Birthday to your grandson. What a fun time you were having at his party.

Thank you for the comment you left, its always good to hear from you. That was a heavy fall of snow you had last week. It all looks so pretty when its newly fallen, doesn’t it, but its when its starting to melt that that I don’t like.

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving Day with your family Kerri and I’d like to thank you for the friendship we have shared. Hugs - Marion

Cute kids. My youngest son, now 38 loved legos too. When he outgrew them I packed them away for his children.
